Nana Mitch and Schardo Mitch share star-studded montage for “From Sefwi to Accra” for MB27 celebration

This year’s MB27 celebration from the Mitch Brothers (MBs) continues with an emotional and nostalgic visual story titled “From Sefwi to Accra.”

More than just a birthday tradition, the project captures the symbolic and emotional departure from home, a tribute to the courage of those who dare to leave the familiar in search of something greater.
Set in the 90s, the visual montage features the Mitch Brothers, their mother Paulina Gyabeng, and a circle of close friends including Naa Amerley, St. Olivia, Dulcie Boateng, Angie Safo, Abena Bambi, Johnny Porium, and Samuel Nkrumah. Dressed in vintage outfits, the group boards a train bound for Accra, representing the timeless pursuit of dreams and the resilience required to chase them.
“This goes beyond a story about leaving,” says director Padmond Annor. “It’s about hope—about envisioning a bigger future beyond where we are, and finding the courage to go after it.”
The film contrasts the quiet embrace of Sefwi with the vibrant, fast-paced energy of Accra. Each person in the story represents a shared vision, personal challenges, and a collective faith in what lies ahead.

As an annual tradition, MB27 has grown to become a moment of cultural reflection and creative excellence. “From Sefwi to Accra” is not just a celebration—it’s a heartfelt reminder that every departure is the first step toward a dream fulfilled.
