Davido and Chioma Come Full Circle in Royal ‘Already Falling’ Music Video

Nearly eight years after ‘Assurance’, Davido has released another love song, ‘ Already Falling ‘, for Chioma. This time, she appears on screen as his wife.

Davido has released the music video for ‘Already Falling’, his Afrobeats take on Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’. The singer has described the song as a follow-up to ‘Assurance’, the 2018 single he dedicated to Chioma, who appeared in that video as his girlfriend. The new video picks up their story years later, from a young couple to husband and wife.

A Château Setting

The video was filmed at the Château de Chanteloup and moves between the property’s grand interiors and its grounds as Davido sings about his love. In one scene, a royal-style portrait of the couple hangs on the wall. Later, Chioma steps into the frame as Davido serenades her.

Martell Limited Editions

The video also introduces the Martell Afrobeats VS and XO Limited Editions, which launched alongside it. The bottles were created in collaboration with Davido and Ghanaian visual artist Prince Gyasi. The release builds on Davido’s five-year partnership with the cognac house and combines music, art and design to celebrate Afrobeats and its global reach.

15 Years and a Lagos Homecoming

‘Already Falling’ is the latest visual from ORIADÉ, Davido’s sixth studio album, and it arrives as he marks 15 years in music. He will end the anniversary year with a three-night residency at the National Theatre in Lagos from 17 to 19 December. It will be the first time he performs ORIADÉ live in Lagos, the city where his career began.
