Hilda Baci Honoured as Guinness World Records ICON
Nigerian chef and entrepreneur Hilda Baci has officially been named a Guinness World Records ICON, cementing her place as one of Africa’s most celebrated record breakers.

The founder of Hilda’s Kitchen first captured global attention in May 2023 when she set a new world record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, cooking continuously for 93 hours and 11 minutes. The feat not only broke the previous record but also put Nigerian cuisine on the world map.

In September 2025, Hilda returned to the Guinness World Records stage, breaking two more records in one day, the largest serving of Nigerian Jollof Rice and the largest serving of rice ever prepared (over 8,780 kg).

In June 2026, Guinness World Records honoured her with the prestigious Guinness World Records ICON title, making her one of the few Africans to receive this recognition. She will also be featured in the Guinness World Records 2027 book.
Hilda has described the journey as life-changing, transforming her from a passionate chef into a global ambassador for Nigerian food and resilience.
