Kate Henshaw Takes on New Role Championing Hunger Relief with Lagos Food Bank
Award-winning Nigerian actress and humanitarian Kate Henshaw has been unveiled as the new Ambassador for the Lagos Food Bank Initiative (LFBI), Nigeria’s leading hunger relief and nutrition-focused non-profit organisation.

The announcement, made on November 10, 2025, marks a key milestone for LFBI as it strengthens its mission to combat hunger, malnutrition, and poverty through partnerships with influential individuals who embody service, compassion, and social impact.
Henshaw, a celebrated Nollywood actor with over 30 years in the industry, has long been recognised for her dedication to wellness, philanthropy, and social advocacy. Her appointment underscores LFBI’s commitment to leveraging public influence to drive sustainable community initiatives and promote food security.
“We all have a role to play in building a world where no one goes hungry,” Henshaw shared during the announcement. “I’m honoured to partner with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative to help empower communities, inspire generosity, and support families in need.”
The Lagos Food Bank Initiative — known for its strategic programmes in nutrition, education, and job placement — has consistently championed hunger eradication efforts across Lagos and beyond. With Henshaw joining as ambassador, the organisation aims to amplify awareness, encourage volunteerism, and mobilise more resources for its ongoing outreach projects.
The partnership also highlights LFBI’s continued collaboration with stakeholders across government, private sector, and civil society, positioning the initiative as a model for impact-driven humanitarian work in West Africa.
