Chechii Links Lagos and Freetown in Afro-Fusion Jam ‘Mi Paddi’

Nigerian singer and songwriter Chechii has unveiled a new single, Mi Paddi, featuring celebrated Sierra Leonean artists Krack Twist and Samza.

The collaboration merges Lagos energy with Freetown grit, laying down a confident track built on rhythmic Afrobeat foundations, fluid rap verses, and smooth vocal harmonies.

Mi Paddi is a vibrant ode to camaraderie, delivered through an infectious blend of Afro-pop, street-influenced rap, and R&B textures. The production is slick and dance-ready, offering a soundscape that’s equal parts celebratory and grounded. It’s a clear nod to the bonds that hold communities together whether through struggle, celebration, or everyday life.

Speaking on the track, Chechii described it as a tribute to loyalty and connection: “”I wanted to create something that feels like a celebration of the people who ride with you through every season,” says Chechii. “Working with Krack Twist and Samza brought new magic to the track. The single follows her 2024 EP Mixed Emotions, which introduced audiences to Chechii’s sonic duality blending bold lyricism with emotive melodies. Mi Paddi further cements her versatility and growing reach across West Africa’s music scene.

For Krack Twist and Samza, both household names in Sierra Leone’s hip-hop space, the record adds another cross-border collaboration to their growing repertoire. Their verses bring unmistakable Freetown cadence to a song anchored in pan-African synergy.
