Travel Couple Chris Joondeph and Adenike Daramola Mark One Year Tradversary
American travel content creator Chris Joondeph and Nigerian tour guide and travel entrepreneur Adenike Daramola have celebrated one year since their traditional Yoruba engagement, popularly referred to as a “tradversary.”
The couple first met through Couchsurfing during Chris’s visit to Nigeria. Daramola, who hosted him, is the founder of THA GLOBETROTTERS LIMITED and regularly appears in Chris’s travel content under the Instagram handle @dara_for_enjoyment_only. Joondeph, known for his platform Authentic Traveling, often documents their adventures together.
To mark the milestone, the couple shared visuals from their traditional wedding ceremony across social media. Chris captioned his anniversary post:
“Life is going to throw you a lot of challenges but there is no one more I’d rather have by my side than @dara_for_enjoyment_only.
I didn’t just find a beautiful woman to marry. I found a life partner and we can make it through anything together. I look forward to so many more years to come as God reveals his ultimate plan for us.”
Daramola also reflected on the day with a caption that read:

In another post, she simply wrote:

The traditional engagement featured elements of Yoruba culture, with both parties adorned in customary attire and coral beads. The ceremony, originally held in Nigeria, has become a defining moment in their love story, which continues to unfold across countries and continents.
Their relationship has garnered interest for blending cross-cultural connection with a shared love for global exploration.
