Wendy Shay Announces Release Date for New Album “Ready,” Out October 24
Award-winning Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has officially confirmed that her third studio album, titled “Ready,” will be released on October 24, 2025. The announcement, made across her social media platforms on Friday, October 10, has generated widespread excitement among fans and industry watchers.

The singer unveiled the album’s striking cover art alongside a short message describing the project as a reflection of her personal and artistic evolution. “I present to you transformation, strength, value, and prosperity,” she wrote, calling Ready a new chapter in her journey.
Although the full track list and featured collaborations remain under wraps, Wendy Shay’s recent run of singles — including Psycho, Sapiosexual, Apology, Too Late 2.0, and Crazy Love — provides a glimpse into the sound direction of the upcoming record. The tracks have already gained traction across streaming platforms, hinting at an album that could reinforce her position as one of Ghana’s most dynamic contemporary artists.

The announcement came shortly after Wendy Shay revealed that her annual Shay Concert has been rescheduled to November 22, 2025, out of respect for the funeral of legendary Ghanaian musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, who passed away on July 26. “In honour of the late, great Daddy Lumba, we’ve moved The Shay Concert to 22nd November 2025 to make way for his funeral as we pay our final respects to the legend,” she posted.
With Ready set for release just days before the rescheduled concert, the project is expected to mark a significant milestone in Wendy Shay’s career while contributing to Ghana’s rich musical narrative during a period of reflection and remembrance.
