2Baba Marks 50th Birthday and 25 Years in Music
Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Ujah Idibia, widely known as 2Baba or 2Face, has officially celebrated his 50th birthday and 25 years in the music industry.

In a statement shared on his Instagram page, the iconic singer reflected on his journey, describing it as “nothing short of amazing” and acknowledging that he does not take the milestone for granted. “Many who started this path with me are no longer here, and I honour their memories as I celebrate this moment,” he wrote.
2Baba attributed his longevity to the support of family and colleagues, saying:
“I stand today as 2Baba because of the love, prayers, and support of so many. To my dear mother, my beautiful children, my wife, mothers of my children, my siblings, and my entire family, you are my backbone.”
He further extended appreciation to his management team, colleagues, media, promoters, DJs, OAPs, industry players, corporate leaders, government bodies, NGOs, telecoms, financial institutions, and every individual who has supported him throughout his career.
2Baba highlighted that this milestone is not his alone but belongs to everyone who has walked the journey with him. He assured fans that a grand celebration merging his golden jubilee with 25 years in music will hold at a later date. “This year’s celebration has been postponed, not cancelled, because I want to do it differently, to merge my 50th birthday and my 25 years in the industry into one unforgettable experience,” he announced.
The music star concluded his message by thanking supporters once again and hinting at future celebrations:
“Until then, keep the fire burning. The best is yet to come.”
2Baba’s golden jubilee marks a landmark moment in Nigerian music, underscoring a career that has influenced generations and continues to inspire.
