Spyro Honours Friends Who Inspired Him, Surprises Them with Gifts as He Drops New Single “Stand By You”
As Nigerian artist Spyro releases his latest single, Stand By You, he showed appreciation to some of the individuals who played pivotal roles in his life and musical journey.
The singer paid surprise visits to two close friends, offering them gifts as tokens of gratitude for their support during his early struggles.
Spyro’s first stop was to visit his friend Tosing, whom he described as the “first-ever girl to move me to sincere tears.” In a deeply personal message, he recounted a time when life was especially challenging, and Tosin offered him all she had—₦5,000 she’d saved to style her hair.
Spyro shared how she insisted he take the money after noticing his distress while they were out pursuing their music dreams together. The gesture overwhelmed him, marking the first time a woman outside his family had shown him such kindness. In his tribute to Tosin, Spyro shared that this gift of support had been life-changing and assured her she’d be “collecting big” as a way to show his gratitude. he gave her a million naira.
His second stop was to honour another friend, Gabriel Ojini whom he gifted three million naira. Spyro recognized Gabriel’s instrumental role in his music career, specifically in production support, believing in him even when he was on the verge of giving up and similarly expressed his thanks with thoughtful gifts.
“Stand By You” is Spyro’s latest release, reflecting his growth and appreciation for those who have supported him.
