Nigeria Rap Icons ‘Show Dem Camp’ Release 17-Track Album “AFRIKA MAGIK,” A Bold New Era for African Hip-Hop
Nigerian rap duo Show Dem Camp (SDC) have unveiled their latest album, AFRIKA MAGIK, a 17-track body of work now available on all major streaming platforms.
In a year that has seen global hip-hop icons like Clipse and Mobb Deep reignite interest in lyric-driven rap, Ghost and Tec deliver Africa’s answer to the movement — a record that both honours and redefines the genre’s legacy from an African lens.
Described by the duo as “a cultural document,” AFRIKA MAGIK explores love, identity, and self-discovery while drawing inspiration from the nostalgic textures of late 90s Nollywood. The album follows SDC’s successful collaboration with The Cavemen and Nsikak David, and expands on their signature fusion of hip-hop, R&B, soul, and Afro-fusion.
The project boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators including Tems, BOJ, Winny, and Mereba, blending melodic depth with lyrical sophistication. Tracks such as Pressure featuring Taves, You Get Me featuring Tems, and Masterkey featuring Mereba stand out for their genre-fluid production and introspective storytelling.
Speaking on the album, SDC shared:
“For us, AFRIKA MAGIK isn’t just an album; it’s a cultural document. A reminder that our stories, in all their beauty and chaos, are magic.”
With AFRIKA MAGIK, Show Dem Camp reaffirm their status as masterful rappers and curators of African hip-hop culture. The album balances reflective lyricism with socially conscious commentary, further cementing their role as pioneers shaping the evolution of modern rap on the continent.
The release comes on the heels of several milestones for the duo, including a feature on Ebro Darden’s Apple Music show and the inclusion of one of their songs in the first Nigerian film to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
Beyond the studio, SDC continue to champion African creativity through their Palmwine Music Festival, a series that has grown from Lagos to international stages in London and New York, featuring performances from artists such as Davido, Ayra Starr, and Victony.
AFRIKA MAGIK not only captures the duo’s growth but also stands as a statement of intent — a reminder that African hip-hop’s voice is global, powerful, and evolving.

AFRIKA MAGIK is available now on all streaming platforms.
