The weekend kicked off with a bang at the Grammy pre-party hosted by Empire Records in Los Angeles, celebrating Nigerian nominees Olamide, Fireboy DML, and Asake. The star-studded event saw the likes of Tina Davis, Wale, The Compozers, DJ Consequence, Jidenna, Sarz, WurlD, Pheelz, Boity Thulo, Musa Keyz, and Poco Lee making appearances.
Trevor Noah, the former charismatic host of “The Daily Show,” took the stage as the evening’s emcee for the fourth consecutive time, bringing his trademark wit and charm to the festivities.
South African sensation Tyla’s big win in the Best African Music Performance category for her hit song “Water,” marked a major milestone in her career.
Wrapping up the evening, Burna Boy ignited the audience with an electrifying performance of his nominated tracks “On Form,” “City Boys,” and the sensational “Sittin’ On Top Of The World,” featuring iconic collaborations with Brandy and rapper 21 Savage.
