Hilda Baci, a talented and determined chef, embarked on an incredible journey to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.
Starting on May 11, the 27-year-old’s cooking marathon lasted an astonishing 100 hours. Hilda Baci (Hilda Bassey Effiong) scored a remarkable achievement beating the 87 hours and 45 minutes set by Lata Tondon of India in 2019 not only caught the attention of culinary experts but also garnered support from government officials, celebrities, friends, and family.
A Display of Support and Encouragement:
At Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos, the venue of Hilda’s incredible cooking marathon, a wave of support and encouragement flooded the atmosphere. Notable figures from the culinary world, entertainment industry, media world and government officials all converged to show their solidarity with Hilda. Among the distinguished guests were Guinness Book of Records holder Kaffy, Kate Henshaw, Nse Ikpe Etim, Tiwa Savage, Daniel Etim Effiong, Nancy Isime, Elozonam, Broda Shaggy, Kunle Remi, Iyabo Ojo, Dremo, Sydney Talker, and Tobi Bakre, to name just a few. The presence of these celebrated individuals added a touch of glamour to the event and further motivated Hilda to achieve her record-breaking goal.

Throughout the marathon, Hilda showcased her exceptional culinary skills by preparing an array of mouthwatering recipes. From the tantalizing flavours of Jollof Rice and Coconut Rice to the aromatic goodness of Native Rice and Peppered Fish, Hilda captivated the senses of everyone present.
