Empress Afi takes home “Artist of the Year Female USA/Canada” award at Ghana Entertainment Awards USA 2025

Ghanaian Afro-Dancehall artist Maureen Efua Miezah, popularly known as Empress Afi, has added another milestone to her growing career after winning “Artist of the Year Female USA/Canada” at the 7th Ghana Entertainment Awards USA.

The annual awards ceremony, which took place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, celebrated Ghanaian excellence and cultural impact across the diaspora, honouring talents making waves both at home and abroad. Empress Afi’s win comes as a recognition of her consistency and influence in promoting Ghanaian music internationally.
