Actress and entrepreneur Temi Otedola and Afrobeats star and businessman Tosin “Mr Eazi” Ajibade have redefined what a modern African wedding can be, celebrating their union with a trilogy of ceremonies across Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland.
Each destination reflected a different part of their identity — intimacy, heritage, and wonder — while together creating a wedding journey that has captured global attention.

The story began in Monaco on May 9, 2025, when the couple held a private civil ceremony at the Marie de Monaco town hall. The date carried deep personal meaning, marking what would have been Mr Eazi’s late mother’s 61st birthday. With only two witnesses present, the occasion was one of quiet reflection and love. Temi wore a tailored Wiederhoeft suit, while Eazi donned a custom Louis Vuitton suit, before they shared a dinner overlooking Monte Carlo Casino at the legendary Hôtel de Paris.
For the couple, Monaco had long been an escape, a place where they had spent birthdays and private getaways, and it provided the most personal of beginnings.

The second chapter unfolded in Dubai on July 5, 2025, when the couple hosted their traditional Yoruba wedding at the Otedola family’s villa on Dubai Hills’ prestigious Boulevard of Dreams. The choice of venue was sentimental; years earlier, Temi had joked with her father, Femi Otedola, that the villa was “big enough to host her traditional engagement.” He bought the home — later adding a second villa on the same street — and the prophecy became reality.
The event gathered fewer than 80 close family and friends, yet its guest list reflected the highest levels of African business and culture. Attendees included Africa’s wealthiest men, Aliko Dangote and AbdulSamad Rabiu, alongside leading tech innovators Shola Akinlade, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, and Chika Nwobi.
Bringing Lagos to Dubai, the couple worked with the MC/compere Tee A and Alaga Shokoyokoto to conduct the ceremony, while Kiza Restaurant catered Nigerian cuisine. Temi transformed the villa into a dream Lagos setting, including a custom-built garden tent constructed over 17 days.

Fashion and music defined the evening. Temi wore five custom looks, including designs by Zac Posen, Miss Sohee, and a standout Lisa Folawiyo gown using ‘Akwa Ocha’ fabric as a tribute to Eazi’s late mother’s Iseluku heritage.
Eazi wore bespoke Yoruba attire styled by Jason Rembert. Guests were treated to a live performance from the legendary King Sunny Ade & his full band, before moving to the family’s second villa for an afterparty led by DJ Edu (Choplife Soundsystem) and Diplo (Major Lazer), which carried the celebration into the early hours.

The trilogy culminated in Iceland on August 8, 2025, a country that has become a sanctuary for the couple since their first visit in 2021. At Reykjavík’s iconic Hallgrímskirkja Cathedral, Pastor Tash Kusi (HTB London) blessed the union in a ceremony attended by just under 80 guests. Temi wore a custom Fendi gown with Briony Raymond jewelry, while Eazi wore Saint Laurent.
The reception was held at Kleif Farm, where a glass marquee had been erected for the occasion. Just days before the wedding, a violent windstorm destroyed the structure. Refusing to be defeated, the couple chartered a cargo plane to import replacement materials and doubled the construction crew, rebuilding the tent in 48 hours. Inside, Temi designed an atmosphere inspired by Iceland’s natural elements: ice-themed cocktails, a dinner menu reflecting rivers and volcanoes, and moss-covered tables dressed with seasonal blooms.

Guests were serenaded by French pianist Sofiane Pamart, before being surprised by a performance from John Legend, gifted by Eazi to family and friends. His voice accompanied Temi’s father–daughter dance and the couple’s first dance — a moment many described as “otherworldly.”
The night concluded with an afterparty at the Edition Hotel, where Temi and Eazi opened Club TT (Tosin & Temi). Choplife Soundsystem kept the celebration alive until 4:30 a.m., with Temi in a custom Ludovic de Saint Sernin look and Eazi in a Louis Vuitton runway vest. The wedding weekend ended with a farewell party at the Hamsvik Hot Springs, where guests were treated to a rare display of the aurora borealis lighting the sky.
For Temi and Eazi, the trilogy was about more than grandeur. “Every chapter reflects a part of who we are,” said Temi Otedola. “Monaco was our escape, Dubai was our heritage, and Iceland was our dream.”
“It was about taking the people we love on a journey with us — and showing how African stories can belong anywhere in the world,” added Mr Eazi.
