BBNaija: The Buzz Season 9 continues to deliver on its promise of fiery drama, intense emotional moments, and shocking revelations. Hosted by the ever-vibrant Toke Makinwa, the show remains a must-watch for every BBNaija enthusiast. Episode 10 was no different, and it left fans buzzing with excitement, anticipation, and questions about what could possibly happen next as we approach the finale.

Toke, known for her sharp wit and deep insight into housemate dynamics, set the stage by reminding fans that “the game started with 28 housemates and now we have our top 8.” As she put it, “I urge you to hold tight to your seat, because this episode is going to be one for the books.” And indeed, it was.

The Return of the DRC: Chaos Unleashed

The week kicked off with a jaw-dropping blast from the past as Dami, Rhuttee, and Chinwe—affectionately known as the DRC—made a grand return to Biggie’s house, this time dressed as ninjas. The trio brought their signature chaos, making their presence felt within minutes of their re-entry, as Toke noted, “The DRC came and left with a tornado in their wake, barely minutes after their entrance into the house, the ladies left no stones unturned and it was absolutely chaotic.”

Kassia’s Shocking Eviction: Fan Favourite Exits

Alongside Toke, the episode featured two special guests: returning TV personality Femi Daniels and blogger/digital creator Mercy Obidake, both of whom added their unique perspectives to the heated discussions. One of the most talked-about moments this week was the surprising eviction of Kassia, a fan-favourite who many expected to stay until the final.

Even Toke was taken aback, admitting, “I was shocked that Kassia’s name was mentioned.” But Femi wasn’t surprised. He pointed out that there was an online debate about whether Kassia or Kellyrae should stay before her eviction, emphasising that it was a strategic move by Kellyrae’s management.

As he explained, “When you look online, there is a whole conversation about, ‘should Kassia leave, should Kellyrae be the one to stay’,” adding that Double Kay management has been making strategic decisions for Kellyrae in terms of fan voting, whom he considers a strong contender.

The Kellyrae vs Kassia: A Split Fanbase & Kassia’s Marriage Revelation

One of the major themes running through the episode was the looming competition between Kassia and Kellyrae, especially when it came to splitting the fan vote in the finals. Femi astutely noted that “if Kassia and Kellyrae are in the finals, the fans will split the vote,” making it clear that alliances and strategies are now more important than ever.

Toke also delved into the emotional dynamics in the house, notably Kassia’s pre-eviction revelation about her marriage to Victoria. This bombshell left housemates and viewers alike reeling, and Toke was quick to ask the guests how they felt about the moment.

Mercy described it as “very emotional,” while Femi saw it as a beautiful sisterhood forming between Kassia and Victoria. The bond between these two women is sure to be remembered long after the season ends.

The Return of the DRC – Chaos in the House

The introduction of the DRC stirred up even more drama, and it wasn’t long before viewers were treated to fiery confrontations between the housemates. Mercy expressed that the DRC’s return was necessary, as the housemates had grown a little too comfortable, noting, “The housemates were a little bit boring, sleeping, eating like they were in a reunion or something, but when DRC came, they brought fire.” Femi agreed but felt that the trio may have overdone it. “They went a little overboard,” he said, reflecting the sentiment of some viewers who felt the chaos was too much, too fast.

The episode also highlighted some unexpected dynamics between housemates, particularly the tension between Anita, Dami, and Topher. Dami’s hug with Topher raised eyebrows, especially since Topher and Anita seemed to be forming a connection earlier in the season.

Femi didn’t hold back, stating, “I blame Topher for allowing her to hug him like that, how will he feel if a guy comes to the house and hugs Anita like that.” Toke, however, saw things differently, pointing out that Anita seemed to be in control of her feelings for Topher, saying, “We have watched Anita act like she doesn’t care about this guy, week in, week out. I think it is a control thing.”

The Battle of the Baddies – Chinwe vs. Nelly

The conversation turned heated when Toke addressed the infamous fight between Chinwe and Nelly. The two housemates had clashed multiple times, leading to a full-on brawl this week. Femi humorously remarked that it was “an issue of clashing of bums,” while Mercy chimed in, calling it a fight between “two baddies.” The fight seemed to stem from multiple issues, including rumours of sabotage and comments made by Chinwe about other housemates.

Femi defended Chinwe, claiming that Sooj, who had once pursued her, was now with Nelly only because “when the preferable is not available, the available becomes the preferable.” This comment sparked a fierce debate, with Toke objecting to the phrase and challenging Femi’s assumptions.

DRC vs. Onyeka’s Showdown – The Quiet Housemate Steals the Spotlight

One of the highlights of the week was the unexpected showdown between DRC and Onyeka, a housemate who had remained relatively quiet throughout the season. Toke couldn’t hide her admiration for Onyeka, declaring, “In honour of Queen Onyeka who decided to rise up from the ashes this weekend and cook, till they were all served, if DRC came back with one mission, Onyeka sent them back in body bag, that literally sealed it and that was the moment I lived for.” The fight cemented Onyeka’s place as a fan favourite, with viewers applauding her no-nonsense attitude and ability to stand up to the DRC.

Friendship Over Romance: The Defining Theme of the Season

As the episode drew to a close, Toke reflected on the season so far, pointing out that friendships, rather than romantic relationships, had become the defining feature of this year’s show. “People are not interested in relationships but friendship, because I think they found the ultimate ship; marriage,” she said, alluding to the strong bonds that have formed among housemates.

With the finale just around the corner, the stakes have never been higher. Who will take home the grand prize? Between Kellyrae, Wanni, and Victoria and others, who are the frontrunners, remember in BBNaija, anything can happen. One thing is certain: this season has been unforgettable.
