One Week Provisional Window For Errors And Omissions Petitions Opened For 2024 TGMA Nominations
Charterhouse, organizers of the prestigious Telecel Ghana Music Awards have announced that they are maintaining the provisional one-week window for dispute resolution concerning the released nominees list.
This was made known by the Head of Public Events and Communications at Charterhouse, Robert Klah, during the official launch of the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards held on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Listing the lineup of activities for this year’s awards, he said;
“In terms of activities, right after we declare who has been nominated, we’re going to have a one-week window for errors and omissions so that will take effect immediately. We introduced that last year. ”
He explained further saying;
“Sometimes, people submit their information and sometimes the information that comes to us is not too accurate and so you have people literally challenging information that is out there so we open that window for people to be able to give us information if anything is wrong, whatsoever.”
In an interview last year, Robert Klah expatiated the one-week provisional window and announced the channels through which one could challenge a nomination or file a dispute.
“The one-week provisional window is for correction and provision. By correction, I mean the removal or inclusion or any type of information that might not be accurate as a result of the mechanisms in soliciting for information from different sources” he said.
He also revealed individuals could submit their concerns via their official emails or contact available on the award scheme’s website.
Following a petition by Austine Woode, broadcast journalist and Academy member of the Ghana Music Awards last year, Jah Bahd had his nomination for the Best New Artist category revoked.
