Most Ghanaian Artists Are Lackadaisical When It Comes To Voice Training – Voice Coach, Freeman Ame
Ghanaian voice coach Freeman Ame has called attention to what he sees as a lack of commitment to voice training among many artists in Ghana.
Speaking with the host Nana Kwame Gyan on the Onua Showbiz entertainment show on Onua fm, Ame highlighted instances where artists show reluctance in taking voice training seriously.
When questioned about his experiences with artists, Ame stated, “Yes, there are times like that. Some artists come with the notion that it’s enough, but when you give them assignments to work on, they don’t do it.”
Ame went on to stress the significance of voice coaching, emphasizing that it goes beyond technicalities. “Coaching is a big deal; it makes you understand human psychology and physiology. A good coach must know how to communicate with the artist,” he explained.
Highlighting the preparation process, Ame emphasized that what leads up to a performance is often more critical than the performance itself.
His insights underscore the need for artists to invest time and effort into refining their vocal skills, debunking the misconception that natural talent alone is sufficient.
