On Monday, May 29, a historic moment unfolded in Nigeria as Bola Ahmed Tinubu took the oath of office and was officially sworn in as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The inauguration ceremony which took place at Eagle Square in Abuja witnessed another significant event with the swearing-in of Kashim Shettima as the Vice President.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu recited the presidential oath, pledging to uphold the integrity and impartiality of his office saying: “I, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, do solemnly swear that I will not allow my personal interests to influence my official conduct or decisions… So help me, God.”
