Serena Williams Announces 2nd Pregnancy At The Met Gala

Serena Williams, 23-time Grand Slam singles champion and tennis icon, made a big announcement at the Met Gala on May 1, 2023.

On the red carpet with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, the superstar revealed to reporters that “three of us” were present, indicating that she is expecting her second child.

Olympia, Williams and Ohanian’s first child was born in October 2017. In a Vogue article last year, the tennis star announced her plans to focus on growing her family.

Williams posted a video on Instagram about how excited she is about being invited to the Met Gala by her dear friend and Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. Williams revealed, “I was so thrilled when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala.”

Her husband is Alexis Ohanian an American entrepreneur and investor. Their love story began in Rome in 2015, during the Italian Open tournament where Williams was competing, and they have been inseparable ever since.

In December 2016, Ohanian proposed to Williams, and they tied the knot the following year in November 2017, just two months after welcoming their daughter, Olympia.
