Black Girls Glow Goes International With Fellows From Nigeria, Germany, Cameroon & Ghana

On the 30th of July, join 7 female sound artists from 4 countries in a riveting and spell-binding performance to crown the end of this year’s Black Girls Glow sound residency.

The concert will feature individual and collective performances from Nigeria’s Lindsey Abudei, singer-songwriter and vocal improve composer, Ghana’s Susan Augustt, neo-soul singer-songwriter, Germany’s Oihane Roach, singer-songwriter, Ghana’s AlaptaWan, reggae dancehall & afrobeats singer-songwriter, Cameroon’s Lor, rapper, singer and musician, Nigerian-Ghanaian Lizmonn, singer-songwriter and musician, and Ghana’s Lily, musician and upcoming producer.

The show will take place at the Untamed Empire, at 7pm GMT. Tickets for the event range from ₵80 – ₵120 and can be purchased from https://egotickets.com/events/black-girls-glow-22-concert

The show is set to climax the end of an 8-day residency organized by Black Girls Glow and showcase the work produced from the residency. The album for this year’s cohort is set to be released early September, 2022.

Black Girls Glow is a feminist nonprofit organization fostering collaborations among women artists and exploring ways that art can build community. Founded in 2017 by Poetra Asantewa, the organization has run a residency each year for a select group of artists.

During each residency, after an intense session of workshops, exercises and training activities, the artists work towards creating an album in less than 7 days.
