#ChallengeAccepted: Tiwa Savage, Adesua Etomi, Kiki Osibanjo & More Join the Instagram Trend

You may have noticed black and white selfies of female celebrities, your friends and a large network of women all over your Instagram Timeline with the hashtag #ChallengeAccepted.

If you have, the #ChallengeAccepted posts which is over 4 million posts on Instagram with the usually accompanied #WomenSupportingWomen hashtag is “meant to celebrate strength, spread love, and remind all women that supporting each other is everything.”

According to Instagram spokesperson, the ‘challenge’ started trending in India, late on Monday, 28 July.

Friends and acquintances tag or nominate each other privately to take part in the ‘challenge’ to post selfies.

The earliest post with the hashtag was traced back to Brazilian journalist Ana Paula Padrão, who posted along the lines almost a week ago.

The likes of Genevieve Nnaji who  seems to be the one championing the cause in Nigeria and other Nigerian celebrities like Tiwa Savage, Kate Henshaw and more have also joined in the #ChallengeAccepted photo campaign on Instagram.
