#RapeAllegation: Police Deny Detaining D’banj’s Accuser, Seyitan

The Nigerian Police Force has debunked claims that they detained Seyitan Babatayo who made rape allegations against singer D’banj.

News on Twitter on the 18th of June was that Seyitan was allegedly arrested, detained and denied access to friends, family, and legal representation after she accused D’banj of rape. (read HERE)

A report by Vanguard however claimed that that while D’Banj had reported on three separate occasions at FCID for interrogation and statement, Seyitan’s non-appearance was what prompted the Force CID to dispatch officers to Lagos to invite her for her written statement and interrogation on the alleged rape.
