“Disability Is Not Inability” ♿️Debola Daniel On How He Taught Himself To Drive

Debola Daniel, the UK based son of the former governor of Ogun state, Gbenga Daniel, shared a video of himself getting into his car and driving despite being wheelchair bound.

He wrote;

If you know anything about me, you’d know I love cars, more importantly, I love driving. Growing up, it was my dream to find a way to drive despite the obvious perceived disadvantage. One day I’d tell the story of how I taught myself to drive. I

t is a story of perseverance in the face of adversity. A story of self believe in the face of doubt. People have asked me over the years how I get into my car myself and how I drive myself. Here’s an answer to the first part of that question.

Debola, who has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from University College London was diagnosed with paraplegia when he turned 5. He is also an inspirational speaker with TEDx Talk and founder of the African Youth Initiative.
