Nigerian comedian and actor Seyi Law recently opened up about a surprising spiritual experience, warning followers to be cautious about the gifts they receive.

Taking to social media on November 6, 2024, Seyi Law shared an intriguing story in response to an X post that advised people to avoid accepting mirrors as gifts due to concerns over spiritual monitoring. The comedian revealed that, for him, it wasn’t a mirror but rather a pair of shoes that led to a spiritual discovery in his life.

While some social media users dismissed this as superstitious, Seyi Law resonated with the cautionary message and decided to share his own experience with a gifted pair of shoes that he says led to a spiritual breakthrough.

Seyi Law revealed that he began to notice something unusual during a private vigil he held in his room on March 2, 2016. As he prayed, he sensed a message from God that alerted him to the presence of a suspicious item in his home. “God told me there was something in my house that they were using to monitor me,” he explained. After searching his home, he discovered that the item in question was a pair of shoes that had been gifted to him. He and his wife took immediate action, removing the shoes from their home and burning them.

Seyi Law continued, recalling a vivid experience the following morning that confirmed his growing faith. He was awakened around 5 a.m. by a voice that instructed him to write down what he was hearing. The message, which he shared with his wife, indicated that she was pregnant—a revelation she was initially skeptical about until medical tests confirmed it days later.

As the story continued, Seyi Law explained that he felt a sense of relief and closure when a prophet, on the day of his daughter’s dedication, confirmed that the spiritual interference had been removed. The prophet assured him that the individual who had once used the shoes to monitor him would no longer set foot in his home, a prediction that Seyi Law says has proven true.

In sharing his experience, Seyi Law offers a reminder to be cautious about the gifts we accept, particularly if they feel unusual or come from sources that we’re unsure of. His story underscores the belief that objects, even seemingly harmless ones, can carry spiritual implications. He encouraged followers to stay vigilant and trust their instincts, noting that sometimes spiritual insight can come through intuition, prayer, or even dreams.
