Shaffy Bello Weighs In on “What Women Bring to the Table” Debate
In a recent interview with Stephanie Coker, renowned Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello shared her perspective on the ongoing debate surrounding “What do women bring to the table.”
The actress, known for her roles in iconic Nigerian films, had a straightforward message for women when faced with this question.
Bello advised women to refrain from questioning men who inquire about their contributions. She emphasized the importance of mutual responsibility, asserting that both partners should contemplate what they bring to the relationship.
“If he’s bringing something to the table, you should bring something to the table. I don’t want to marry a liability if I was a man,” she stated.
The actress further expressed that women appear more attractive when they are independent and not overly needy. According to Bello, fostering self-sufficiency enhances a woman’s allure, making her a more compelling partner.
“I would tell the ladies, never tell a man, ‘Why are you asking me what do I bring to the table?’ I’m sorry, I’m not one of those; I think we both should ask ourselves, ‘What are we bringing to the table.’ You look more attractive that way. You can’t just be needy; that’s not attractive,” she explained.
