Sony Music Entertainment Africa Presents Forbes Family And Vth Season With Gold And Platinum Plaques Honoring AKA’s ‘Mass Country’

We are pleased to announce that Sony Music Entertainment Africa has presented the Forbes family and Vth Season with Gold and Platinum plaques in recognition of Mass Country’s long-lasting success.

As a testament to the South African music pioneer’s talent and impact on the music industry, and on the hearts of his fans, this honor speaks volumes.

AKA’s final studio album, Mass Country, proves AKA’s artistry and creativity, showcasing his profound lyricism and innovative vision. AKA’s lifelong dedication to music comes together in his final studio album.

Since its release, Mass Country has captivated listeners around the world, resonating with both long-time members of the Megacy and newcomers alike. Recording industry organizations have recognized ‘Mass Country’ for its tremendous success by granting numerous tracks Gold and Platinum certifications respectively.

‘Dangerous’ featuring Nadia Nakai and Blxckie, ‘Mbuzi (Freestyle)’ featuring Thato Saul and ‘Prada’ featuring Khuli Chana have all been certified Gold, while ‘Company’ featuring Nigerian record producer KDDO has hit certified Platinum. ‘Lemons (Lemonade)’ which features Nasty C has hit certified 4x Platinum since its release in September of 2022.
