Juliana Olayode, popularly known for her role as ‘Toyo Baby’ in Funke Akindele’s hit TV series Jenifa’s Diary, announces that her feud with Funke Akindele is finally over.
Fans can now heave a sigh of relief as the two talented actresses have buried the hatchet.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Juliana expressed her gratitude and shared her journey into the mainstream entertainment industry. She credited Funke Akindele for being instrumental in her breakthrough, giving her the opportunity to shine alongside a screen goddess who had dedicated decades to her craft. The fame and recognition Juliana received at a young age were overwhelming, and she acknowledged that it was all thanks to Funke Akindele’s support.
However, Juliana also reflected on the challenges she faced, particularly her lack of understanding of the intricacies of the industry. She mentioned having a guardian or manager who didn’t grasp the dynamics of the entertainment world, leading to miscommunication and misunderstandings.
Juliana revealed that her guardian had sent an email to the producers of Jenifa’s Diary without her knowledge, causing further tension and strain between her and Funke Akindele. She acknowledged her mistakes and sincerely apologized to Funke Akindele for the hurt she had caused.
According to her, this public apology was not an attempt to seek pity or intervention but a genuine expression of remorse and an opportunity to make things right. Juliana shared that she had already personally met with Funke Akindele, who had forgiven her, embraced her, prayed for her, and even cooked her favourite meals from their good old days together.
