Afro Nation Heads To Lagos – Davido Reveals On Hot 97

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has announced that the biggest afro-beach festival, Afro Nation is heading to Lagos this year.

Previously Afro Nation Africa was held in Accra, Ghana, with the most recent one happening in December 2022 but it seems, the festival is heading to a new city.

Davido, who is currently on a media run for his chart-breaking album Timeless revealed in an interview on Hot97 with Ebro that Afro Nation is moving to Lagos. 

The revelation came out, during a discussion about the beach culture on the African continent and how it has grown in strength. 

Officially the festival hasn’t announced the new city, but Davido’s comments confirm that the rumours are true.

Davido was set to headline Afro Nation Ghana until the demise of his son, which led him to go on a musical hiatus for some months.

Afro Nation has been held twice in Ghana; in 2019 & 2022, unfortunately, it couldn’t be held in 2020 & 2021 due to the Covid Pandemic.

It looks like this year Afro Nation will be making stops in Portugal, the United States of America, and Nigeria.
