Kamala Harris Compiles Spotify Playlist To Soundtrack Africa Trip

US Vice-President Kamala Harris has released a Spotify playlist of African music that “will soundtrack her current trip across the continent.”

The 25-track playlist, titled My Travels: Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia(link is external), is currently live on the streaming platform and is designed to amplify the artists and sounds across these countries. It features Ghanaian, Tanzanian and Zambian artists such as Sarkodie, Zuchu and Coolguy Pro.

Harris arrived in Ghana on 26 March for her first trip to Africa while in office, and will visit Tanzania on 29 March and Zambia on 31 March before returning to the US on 2 April.

On Monday, she visited Vibrate Space, a music hub in Аccra that local collective Surf Ghana opened in October. The space, which is supported by Spotify, facilitates audio recording, mixing, mastering and editing, and hosts consultations and masterclasses. During her visit, Harris met met with local artists, some of whom are featured on her playlist.
