Star Of ‘How To Ruin Christmas’ Busi Lurayi Dies At 35
35-year-old South African actress Busisiwe Lurayi, better known as Busi Lurayi who starred in the first two seasons of the Netflix series How to Ruin Christmas: The Wedding and How to Ruin Christmas: The Funeral has passed away.
This was confirmed by her agency, Eye Media Artists, on Monday. A family statement was posted to Instagram by the agency. According to the statement, the family still awaits the results of her autopsy to determine her cause of death. She is reported to have passed away at her home suddenly.
“We are deeply saddened to notify you of the passing of our beloved Busisiwe Lurayi,” read the statement.
“Busisiwe passed away suddenly and was pronounced dead at her residence on Sunday 10.07.2022 by medical personnel. The reason for her death is still unknown as we await the results of the autopsy report,” the statement continued.
“We humbly request that you allow us as the family to come to terms with this tragic news. We thank you for the support that has been given so far and will provide further information as soon as it is made available,”
the statement added.
The actress who played Tumi Sello in ‘How To Ruin Christmas’ is survived by a young daughter.
May her soul rest in peace.
