Ready for Some Drama? The Real Housewives of Lagos Debuts This April!

The debut episode of “The Real Housewives of Lagos” is set to begin in April 2022. In case you are unfamiliar with “The Real Housewives”, the show emphasizes the domestic and social lives of the women in it.

The Real Housewives of Lagos, produced by Livespot 360 will be coming to Showmax on 8 April, with new episodes dropping weekly.

The cast of characters of “The Real Housewives of Lagos” are familiar faces on the Lagos social scene and they include; Carolyna Hutchings, Iyabo Ojo, Chioma “Good Hair” Ikokwu, Toyin Lawani, Laura Ikeji Kanu and Mariam Adeyemi Timmer.

Lagos, it’s about to be a lituation!

We’ve seen what The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Jersey, Durban, and Melbourne get up to, now the party arrives Lagos and in the famous words of Banky W, “ain’t no party like a Lagos party!”

The Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOL) is set to give a peek into the opulent and oh-so-extra lifestyle of some of the most affluent women in Lagos living their best Eko-Miami lives. Plus, all the drama and gbas gbos you can expect from a Real Housewives show.

RHOL will be the first Nigerian installment of the award-winning franchise, which is distributed internationally by NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal Studio Group. This also marks the 16th international version of The Real Housewives format and the third to be adapted in Africa. 

“The Real Housewives franchise lends itself to localisation and we know our audience is going to love seeing the show reinvented Naija-style. We can’t wait to show the continent – and the world – another side of Lagos, with all the drama, high fashion and luxury you’d expect from The Real Housewives franchise,” says Candice Fangueiro, Showmax’s head of content.
