Juliet Ibrahim Takes a Stand on Climate Change

Actress Juliet Ibrahim is on a mission to increase awareness about the environment. Out of climate concern, the humanitarian and activist took to social media to shed light on the effects of global warming on climate change and the disaster it leaves in its wake.

In a brief chat with A Slice of Naija, Juliet Ibrahim revealed she will continue to use her platform to educate about climate change.

Writing about the imminent threat posed by global warming, she posted:

“Global warming causes climate change, which poses a serious threat to life on earth in the forms of widespread flooding and extreme weather.”

She added;

“As the climate changes globally we are going to experience more frequent and intense drought, storms, heatwaves, rising sea levels, melting glaciers and warming oceans which will directly harm animals, destroy the places they live and wreak havoc on people’s livelihoods and communities. As climate change worsens, dangerous weather events are becoming more frequent or severe.”
