Juliet Ibrahim goes Back to School!

Actress Juliet Ibrahim isn’t letting fame stand in her way of achieving her academic goals.

The actress who has enrolled in Berkeley College in New York City with the goal of earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing Communications isn’t putting her acting career on hold as she will juggle both along with her other commitments.

Juliet Ibrahim who shelved her educational pursuits to help her mother provide for her family and send her younger siblings to school took to her official social media pages to announce the news.

She shared the factors that informed her decision of putting a pause on her academic plans with some excerpts from her book ‘A Toast of Life’  @atoasttolifebook

The eldest child of her family, Juliet Ibrahim’s choices were going to university or getting a job and to support her mother and siblings. Choosing the latter option, she got a job while pursuing a modeling and acting career as her siblings pursued their academic studies. She then became a mother herself and raising her son became Ibrahim’s foremost priority.

In her words:

“Through all of these experiences, I expanded my entrepreneurial horizon. I never stopped working and channeled all my energy to raising my son, finding myself and being there for my family. I learned to ignore the detractors and focus on the goal.”

The 36-year-old went on to say: “But one thing I have understood on my journey is, Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching. It doesn’t matter at what age you decide to go back to school; DO IT at your own terms and for YOU!”

Juliet Ibrahim ended her post with:

I am super grateful to @berkeleycollege and the entire faculty including the amazing female president @DianeRecinos for embracing and supporting me to embark on this journey of education with them.
