Toyin Abraham's Call for Better Parenting on Children’s Day

Actress Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi recently took to social media to raise concerns about the increasing disrespect shown by children online. In her message on Children’s Day, she expressed her dissatisfaction with the current state of child upbringing and the urgent need for improved parenting.

She shared a moving message on social media, expressing concern about the growing disrespect exhibited by children online. Toyin emphasized the need for better parenting and the importance of instilling values like respect, courtesy, responsibility, kindness, and hard work in our children.

Toyin highlighted the contrast between how we were raised and how we’re raising our kids today, using “kid gloves” and excusing disrespectful behaviour under the guise of being “woke” or having a “no tolerance” attitude. She reminded us that, despite our age and blessings, we still wouldn’t say things to our parents out of respect, not fear.

The recent tragic event at Ajayi Crowther University, where students killed a fellow student in the name of jungle justice, serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of neglecting home training and moral values. Toyin urged parents and guardians to do better and raise children who are respectful, kind, and responsible.
