“Iwájú,” The Highly Anticipated Animated Series from Disney Plus and Kugali, Debuts on February 28th

Set to debut exclusively on Disney+ on February 28, “Iwájú,” the futuristic animated series co-produced by Pan-African entertainment company Kugali and Disney Animation Studios, was originally scheduled for release in 2022.

Written and directed by Kugali co-founder Ziki Nelson, “Iwájú” follows the tale of Tola and Kole, two youngsters navigating life in a city starkly divided between the affluent and the impoverished. Their bond is challenged by Bode, a tech maven whose groundbreaking inventions conceal a dark criminal empire he lords over with unwavering control.
