“Orlando Julius Passed Away Peacefully In My Arms” ― Wife Of Late Legendary Highlife/Jazz Musician

Legendary highlife-jazz musician Orlando Julius Ekemode’s wife, Latoya Aduke, has said that her late husband breathed his last in her arms on Thursday night in his home in Ilesha, Osun State.

Speaking to Tribune Online in a phone conversation, the American wife of the deceased Latoya said, 

“Orlando has gone oh,”

“He died in my arms at night. I thank the Lord,”

she wept.

It was reported that the musician, who was aged 79 years, had been in good health for some years, but has been unavailable to perform live as usual since 2020.

Saxophonist Orlando Julius was widely known for his excellent stage performance and his influence extended across four decades and on three continents; Europe, North and South America, and Africa.
